MISSING

Where to watch: Netflix
Storm Reid as June’bug’ in Missing

This film is similar to the 2018 film Searching where we (audience) look into the lives of the characters in the film through desktop screens which I like to call Black Mirrors. It is interesting to watch and I bet no one would have expected the plot twist in the last 30 minutes.

One of the biggest pros of the movie is the writing. It’s gripping and makes the watchers stay hooked till the end. But must say that the intrigue slipped off for a few minutes after (spoiler alert) the boyfriend dies.

One of the main cons I felt was the camera zooming in on some parts of the screen was disturbing and confusing as a viewers. A clear CCTV footage could be a logical issue I felt that it would bave highlighted the performance of the actors on screen.

Let me explain: (spoiler alert) In the climax scene, when we are watching what’s happening through CCTV cameras, a clear footage would have highlighted the performance of the actors. It also caused a confusion of what is happening at one point.

The music and background score could have been better. I would have also like a little insight into how June and her friend reconciled after the small fight.

On The Whole: Missing is an exciting film that will surely entrall Thriller movie lovers.

Personal P.S: I am so excited because this is my first blog post. Do let me know your thoughts and get ready for more exciting ones.
